Who we are

Dante Institute of Foreign Languages (DIFL) is a language institute based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, India. In this policy, “DIFL”, “we”, “our” and “us” refer to Dante Institute of Foreign Languages and its authorised administration.

This policy applies to the public website at mydifl.com. Separate, access-controlled staff and certificate-verification functions may display their own notices where appropriate.

Information we receive

Information you choose to provide

When you submit an enquiry, start a chat or contact us, you may provide details such as your name, telephone or WhatsApp number, email address, course interest and message. Please provide only information that is relevant to your enquiry.

Basic technical and measurement information

If you accept optional measurement, Google tools may process information such as the page visited, approximate location derived from an internet address, browser or device type, referral source and advertising campaign identifiers. Our website events are designed not to send form contents, names, phone numbers or email addresses to analytics.

Essential preference storage

The site stores your privacy choice in your browser so it can remember whether you accepted or rejected optional measurement. This preference is treated as essential to honour your choice.

Scholarship applications and sensitive documents

The V K Sharma Memorial Scholarship is DIFL’s internal fee-support programme. An initial enquiry should contain only basic contact details and the eligibility category. Applicants should not send original or unsolicited copies of identity, income, BPL, service, retirement, relationship, disability or medical records through the public website form, ordinary email or an unsolicited WhatsApp message.

If evidence is needed, authorised DIFL staff will first explain the approved submission method, the minimum pages or fields required and which unrelated identifiers may be redacted. The information is used only to assess eligibility, administer the application, communicate a decision, prevent misuse and maintain necessary scholarship records.

Access is limited to authorised staff who need it for the review or administration. We retain copies only for the active review and any reasonably necessary administrative, dispute or legal period, after which they should be securely deleted or destroyed. An applicant may ask whether DIFL still holds a copy and request correction or deletion, subject to legitimate record-keeping or legal requirements.

How we use information

• To answer enquiries and provide requested information about courses, schedules, counselling and services.
• To arrange a call, chat or follow-up when you ask us to do so.
• To operate, secure, diagnose and improve the website.
• With your permission, to understand website use and measure the effectiveness of Google Ads campaigns.
• To maintain necessary administrative records and respond to lawful requirements.

We do not use the website’s consent choice to enable personalised advertising. We do not intentionally place personal details entered in enquiry forms into Google Analytics or Google Ads events.

Google Analytics and Google Ads

Google Analytics helps us understand site visits, and Google Ads helps measure whether an advertisement led to a useful website action. Optional analytics and advertising-measurement storage starts only after you select “Accept measurement”. Formspree

Website enquiry forms use Formspree to transmit the details you submit to DIFL. Form details are used to respond to your request and are not copied into our analytics events.

Tawk.to

The Tawk.to chat widget provides live-chat and support functions. When you open or use the chat, Tawk.to may process technical information and the messages or contact details you choose to submit.

Google Maps and WhatsApp

Map content may use Google Maps. Contact links may open WhatsApp on its website or app. When you use these services, your interaction is handled by Google or WhatsApp under their respective terms and privacy policies.

Cookies, local storage and your consent

When you first visit, optional analytics and advertising-measurement storage is set to denied. You can accept optional measurement or reject non-essential measurement. Rejecting does not prevent you from browsing the public website or contacting DIFL directly.

We do not sell the contact information submitted through the website. Information may be handled by authorised DIFL staff and by service providers needed to run the website, deliver messages, maintain security or measure campaigns after consent. We keep enquiry and administrative information only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, provide the requested service, maintain appropriate records, resolve disputes and meet applicable obligations. Different records may require different retention periods.
